Bend Science Center

If your kids like to research and conduct their own experiments, then Bend Science Station is a great thing to do in Bend, Oregon. The Bend Science Station provides laboratory-based science education for students and teachers all throughout Central Oregon. The goal of the Bend Science Center is to open minds and open doors to empower young scientists to change lives. There are several programs available depending on the time of the year.

During the summer there are three different programs, ranging from 1st grade to 6th grade. The camps are three days long. In this time, future scientists will explore explosive science, chemical testing, physics, astronomy, robots, and so much more. The camps run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and run anywhere from $275 to $480. During the school year, they often attend classes that meet once per week and then discover different scientific discoveries each time they attend.

Free Spirit

Ninja warrior gym, yoga, and family-focused fun and fitness are just a few things to do in Bend, OR, at Free Spirit. Free Spirit offers ninja warrior classes, birthday parties, and a drop-off for Ninja Nights. Parents can drop off their little ones for three hours and enjoy an evening kid-free. They also offer kids, family, and adult indoor and outdoor yoga classes. Prenatal and mom and baby yoga classes are also available so you can join in the fun with your little one.

Most classes are about 6 weeks long and range from $100 to $125. Free Spirit offers free play and classes for kids ages 10 months to 12 years old. So, your kids can get out all their energy running around on the ninja warrior course. In addition, free Spirit is a great place to go for families to engage in family fitness fun together!

SHARC

SHARC is a premier aquatic and recreation facility and is one of the many fun things to do in Bend. This facility is an all-season center that offers heated indoor aquatics, heating outdoor aquatics, a disc golf course, winter tubing hill, basketball courts, and fantastic events throughout the year. General admission is $28, and kids under 4 years old are free, including all activities.

If you need a spot for lunch, the SHARC Café is available. You can also bring your lunch and eat at the picnic area at the park. Just make sure that you bring your own towel and call ahead to check the hours as they change by season. Also, the website has a “Crowd Cam” where you can view the pool in real-time to see the current crowd level before you go.

Mountain Air

Mountain Air is a premier indoor trampoline park and one of the best ways to spend the day with your kids. There are so many attractions for kids of all ages at Mountain Air. The main court has 26 trampolines and a super-long jumping and tumbling runway. There is also a Valojump, which is an interactive trampoline video game platform, the Airtrack, which includes a dodgeball court, soccer games, and ultimate tag, and finally, the Giant Airbag.

If you have little ones under five, Mountain Air has you covered. They offer a Toddler Zone where kids can play and jump and are safe with only kids their own age and size. Mountain Air also offers special events such as Kid’s Night Out and Cosmic Jump, so parents can enjoy time away while their kids go and play. Prices range from $14 for one hour to $20 to play all day. Be sure to call ahead to reserve your time and buy your tickets in advance.
